"Human HSCs line LX-2 cells were treated with TGFbeta1 (10 ng/mL) for 24 h in DMEM without serum for activation. To evaluate the effects of the MSCs on activated HSCs, indirect coculture in Transwell chamber was used. LX-2 cells were cultured in the lower membrane layer, and hUC-MSCs were cultured in the upper semi-permeable membrane. Cells were divided into two groups: i) experimental group, hUC-MSCs and LX-2 cells were co-cultured for 48h, ii) Control group, LX-2 cells were cultured alone, each group with 3 replicates." |
